Are Online Acting Classes worth it?
At PTS, we have been coaching actors online since 1998 and including actors around the world, using the internet since 2012. This experience has taught us that actors learn faster & better, and we can teach on higher level with online acting classes. Ultimately all acting comes down to: How is the character reacting? What are they thinking? What are they feeling? Are they in the moment? Great film actors have mastered how to work inside the “frame” so that the camera catches every nuance of their performance. Having our actors work “inside the frame” of their computer monitor in every class mimics the actor’s real-world workspace for auditions and film & Tv work. This gives the actor instant feedback on how well what they are doing, is working inside the frame. This allows the class to focus on the most transformative skills an actor needs, complex moving thoughts and emotions to take their work to the next level. The real workspace is not the “Set” but rather the frame for each shot.
