I have to be honest. I love the SAG Foundation videos. Both the “Conversations” and “The Business”. I learn something new or get a new perspective on acting every time I watch one. I just found this one with Allison Janney. I first got to know her work when Penny took me to see Big Night , one of a series of Indy films written and directed by Stanley Tucci. She was a member of his little film repertory company. I got to know her stage work when Penny took me to the theater to Present Laughter starring Frank Langella and Ms. Janney. I actually got to meet her briefly when Penny took me backstage to meet her partner from acting class. She of course became well know to everyone as CJ on the West Wing and now Mom. After hearing Penny’s stories about working with her in class, and her drive & professionalism. It was very enjoyable and informative to hear Ms. Janney discuss the craft of acting and her career. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
